What is the Future Leaders Forum?

The IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum at IMEX America will take place on October 10 and 11 2012.

The Forum is one of 15 Future Leader Forums which take place worldwide each year. Run jointly by IMEX, MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and MCI, the program has been specially developed to encourage the best and brightest students to enter the meetings and incentive travel industry. Over 4,000 students have passed through the program since its launch in 2003, attending one of 70 Forums worldwide.

The 2011 Forum

The 2011 IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum at IMEX America took place on October 12 and 13. The program attracted around 100 students who heard from meetings industry leaders on topics including convention 2020, reboot your brain, recruiting top talent, mastering magical persuasion, tips and tricks for working in a global environment and the all important green agenda. In addition students attended round tables on their preferred industry topics, providing an opportunity to learn more from industry professionals.

Congratulations to Sam Lee of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas who was the winner of the inaugural IMEX-MPI Video Challenge. Sam will attend the IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum at IMEX in Frankfurt 2012 courtesy of the MPI Foundation. Watch Sam's video here.

Do I Qualify?

Students qualifying for the Forum will be in their senior year at University/College studying meetings and conventions, tourism or hospitality and will not have attended an IMEX America Future Leaders Forum before. You will not necessarily have made up your mind to enter this industry.
