Small steps can make a big impact.

Here are some simple ways you can support people and planet while you're at IMEX:

Take part in our People & Planet Pledge  Read and support the IMEX code of conduct Visit the IMEX | EIC People & Planet Theater and attend sessions on EDI or sustainability  Travel responsibly by carbon offsetting, using public transport or walking Choose sustainable food options (look out for regional, organic, waterwise, vegetarian and plant-based options on our menus)​

Talk to prospective partners about their sustainability options during your meetings​ Place unwanted items in the donation bins and recycle your show badge when you leave Perform a random act of kindness (buy someone a coffee in the coffee line, help with directions or donate to a charity – see below for suggestions)​ Bring these items with you: reusable water bottle, book to donate to Spread the Word Nevada, pronoun badge

How we celebrate and champion equity, diversity and inclusion

 

• Our team is focused on cultivating speaker diversity and welcomes speakers from underrepresented groups with a wide range of experiences and perspectives

• We’ve created the IMEX code of conduct which is highlighted in emails to our attendees pre-show and placed in high traffic areas at our trade shows​

• We have created an inclusive language guide for use by all

• We encourage our staff to wear pronoun badges at our shows to create an open and inclusive environment​

• We are proud supporters of the Neu Project, a community working to inspire safe, reflective events and environments that allow all people to thrive

• We’re working on our inclusive and accessible social media presence​
